Fun times with a new friend

One of Matt's best friends from law school now lives and works in Washington D.C. (Mary Claire). Well, she had never met Katie, so this past weekend while she was in town, she came over to meet Miss Katie.

At first, MCYork was a little timid with Katie. She thought that she was going to break her. She just wanted to "poke" her instead. She kept saying over and over, "I just want to touch and squeeze those thighs." --referring to my daughter's overly chunky thighs.

Throughout the evening, Katie and MCYork became the best of friends. Mary Claire stopped poking and actually started holding.

Katie is a very happy baby anyways, but she just smiled at EVERYTHING Mary Claire did!! It was soooo cute.

Matt made Mary Claire feed Katie her dinner. I think it was MCYork's first time to feed a baby (though, it doesn't look much different than how she looks after we feed her). Just take a look at Katie's face - rather orange!!!

Mary Claire, thank you so much for taking time from your busy schedule to come see us and play with Katie. She loved you, and we sure enjoyed visiting with you! Next time you are in town, please come over.

If you are still in D.C. when Katie is older, we will bring her to see you!
